The site and materials provided by Oxford Global Projects, Ltd., including without limitation information provided by Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. to potential and actual users in relation to the services, together are called the  “Platform,” or the “Services.”

    We call a user of the Oxford Global Projects Academy a “Learner,” collectively, the “Learners.” 

    "You" and "your" refer to any type of individual using Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. services.

    Personal Information or “Information” shall include “Identity Information” and “Financial Information.”


Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. requires all Learners to be at least 18 years of age and able to form legally binding contracts under applicable law. Persons under age 18 are not permitted to use Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. services, enroll in Oxford Global Projects Academy, or otherwise provide personal information to Oxford Global Projects, Ltd.


What data do we collect?

On the website we primarily collect your email address. All other data is stored solely on your device. 


When you enroll as a student or subscriber (“learner”) on our site or related courses, as part of the enrollment process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address.


How do we collect your data?

We collect data and process data when you enter your email in the form on our website. By entering your email, you consent to sharing your email address data with Oxford Global Projects, Ltd.. 


Sharing certain Personal Information is necessary in order to enroll as a Learner. Much of this Information can be changed by you at any time. Many changes that you make to your account settings are updated immediately, but some may take a few days to take effect, particularly those that impact email or marketing preferences. Some major requests, such as changes to billing information or account data deletion, may require verification of identity before they can be processed.


If you no longer wish to use the Services or receive service-related messages (except for legally required notices), then you may close your account by email to [email protected]. If you wish to opt out of marketing communications or other types of notifications, please unsubscribe from communications.


Oxford Global Projects Academy is a learning community. We offer features that allow members to connect and communicate in public or semi-public spaces. You don't have to use these features, but if you do, please use common sense and good judgment when posting in these community spaces or sharing your Personal information with others through the Services. Be aware that any Personal information that you choose to submit there can be read, collected, or used by others, or could be used to send unsolicited messages to you.


2. How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to become a Learner on our site, make a purchase, or participate in the course, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

How do we store and use your data?

Thinkific

Our course and site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allows us to sell our product/services to you.

Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. uses Personal Information (including Identity Information and Financial Information) for the following purposes:

    To operate and make available our Platform. 

    For billing and fraud prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interests in ensuring a safe and secure environment for the community to meet and conduct business;

    To analyze Site usage as necessary for our legitimate interest in improving the Oxford Global Projects Academy to grow our business;

    To contact you and deliver (via email, on-site notifications, or otherwise) administrative notices, marketing notifications, offers and communications relevant to your use of the Site as necessary for our legitimate interests in proper communication and engagement with our Learners and in promoting our business;

    To provide you with customer support; 

    For internal market research, troubleshooting problems, and detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other criminal activity for our legitimate interests in ensuring a safe and secure environment in which Learners can meet;

When you access or use the Services, we collect, use, share, and otherwise process your Personal Information as described in this policy. We rely on a number of legal bases to use Information in these ways. These legal bases include where:

    You have consented to the processing, which you can revoke at any time;

    Necessary for the purposes of our or a third party’s legitimate interests, such as those of visitors, members, or partners;

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Once you leave our course website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

COOKIES

We collect cookies or similar tracking technologies. This means information that our website’s server transfers to your computer. This information can be used to track your session on our website. Cookies may also be used to customize our website content for you as an individual. If you are using one of the common Internet web browsers, you can set up your browser to either let you know when you receive a cookie or to deny cookie access to your computer.


How long do we store your data?

Our Company will keep your data if you have provided us with your email address through the form on the website, we will store your data to send you communications unless you specifically ask us to delete such Information. 


We retain Personal Information for as long as you are a Learner in order to meet our obligations to you, and for such longer periods as may be in our legitimate interests and to comply with our legal obligations. We may also retain aggregate Information beyond this time for research purposes and to help us develop and improve our services. You cannot be identified from aggregate Information retained or used for these purposes.


Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. may disclose Personal Information, including location data or communication data, to a third party if required to do so by law or pursuant to a court order, warrant or subpoena. Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. reserves the right to disclose Personal Information from both private and public areas of the Site and the Platform in the absence of a court order warrant or subpoena if we are given reason to believe, in our sole discretion, that someone is causing injury to or interfering with the rights of Learners, the general public, or of Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. or its partners or affiliates.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.


What are your data protection rights?

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every Learner is entitled to the following under certain circumstances:

The right to access – You have the right to request us to send you copies of your personal data. 


The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any Information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request we complete the Information you believe is incomplete. 


The right to erasure – You have the right to request that the Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.


The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.


The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to us from processing your personal data, under certain conditions.


The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.


Where the processing of your Personal Information by us is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent without detriment at any time. You can also change your marketing preferences at any time.


Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. cannot guarantee the security of any Information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. While Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of all credit card and all other Personal Information, we expressly disclaim any liability for any unauthorized access to or use of secure servers and/or any and all Personal Information and/or Financial Information stored therein, and you agree to hold the Company harmless for any damages that may result therefrom.


Children’s Privacy and Note to Parents and Guardians. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 years of age. The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13 and persons under 18 are not permitted to use the Platform. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete or disable such Information. Your California Privacy Rights. California’s “Shine the Light” law permits customers in California to request certain details about how certain types of Information is shared with third parties and, in some cases, affiliates, for those third parties’ and affiliates’ own direct marketing purposes. Under the law, a business should either provide California customers certain Information upon request, or permit California customers to opt in to, or opt out of, this type of sharing.


Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. may share Personal Information as defined by California’s “Shine the Light” law with third parties or affiliates for such third parties’ or affiliates’ own direct marketing purposes. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA“), California residents have certain rights around Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. collection, use, and sharing of their personal information.


Oxford Global Projects, Ltd. does not sell your personal information and will not do so in the future without providing you with notice and an opportunity to opt-out of such sale as required by law. Similarly, we do not offer financial incentives associated with our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information.
